Softball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

Wilson is 1-9 against Eagle Rock since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mules will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Wilson has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bravo hit Wilson with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mules lost 16-4 to the Knights.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eagle Rock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Franklin a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Eagles have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eagle Rock's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Wilson might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from Eagle Rock when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Mules avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
