Basketball Game Preview: Berean Academy Warriors vs. Bennington Bulldogs

The Berean Academy Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Bennington Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Berean Academy came up short against Moundridge and fell 51-41. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Wildcats are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, Bennington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They strolled past the Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.

Bennington's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5. As for Berean Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-1.

Berean Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Bennington in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Berean Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
