Softball Recap: Bishop Grimes Cobras vs. Fabius Pompey Falcons
While it was Bishop Grimes who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was Fabius Pompey who put up more. The Cobras fell 7-4 to the Falcons. The Cobras haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Luella Kiefer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Myla Pankow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Liz Corl also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Bishop Grimes now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Fabius Pompey, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7-1.
As of now, neither Bishop Grimes nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
