Softball Recap: Bay Port Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Bay Port dropped their record down to 13-8 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Pulaski Red Raiders by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered since May 6th.

Elly Rau was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Riley Veraghen also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

As for Pulaski, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 5th.

On Pulaski's side, Kianna Altendorf was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Molly Molthen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
