Baseball Game Preview: Dodge City Demons vs. Eisenhower Tigers

The Dodge City Demons will take on the Eisenhower Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dodge City is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Dodge City fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Liberal on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 9-8.

Jace Gifford was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Liam Torrez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Reis Ochs, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Eisenhower duked it out with South on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dodge City's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Eisenhower, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
