Softball Game Preview: Sherman Tide vs. Scott Skyhawks

The Sherman Tide will face off against the Scott Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Sherman is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Liberty just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tide have suffered since March 22nd.

Meanwhile, Scott didn't have quite enough to beat Cabell Midland on Thursday and fell 4-2.

Scott saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Sampson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Scott has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Sherman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
