Softball Recap: Howell's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Howell had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Columbia Central Golden Eagles.

Lara Anderson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Easton Lavery was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Howell's victory bumped their record up to 19-11-1. As for Columbia Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howell will welcome Hartland at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbia Central, they will take on Michigan Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
