Volleyball Recap: Attleboro Bombardiers vs. Norton Lancers

Attleboro lost against Norton back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bombardiers fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 3-2.

Attleboro wouldn't go down easily and took Norton into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-6, 15-5.

Elijah Sye paced Attleboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Sye got some help from Dairy Morataya and his 30 assists. Sye also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Andy Nguyen, racking up two apiece.

Alex George went supernova For Norton., getting 23 digs and two aces. That's the most aces George has posted over his last seven games.

Attleboro's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Norton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

After both having extra time off, Attleboro and King Philip Regional will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bombardiers are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Norton, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional on the 14th.
