Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maple Mountain). They blew past the Enterprise Wolves 21-1 on Saturday. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Maple Mountain got a great performance from Kyla Donegan as she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.
At the plate, Brettlyn Walker was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Chelsie Carter was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Maple Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
