Baseball Recap: Maranatha Christian Gets the Win

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Maranatha Christian nor Francis Parker made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Lancers 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Eagles' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The team relied heavily on Shane Piester, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. He has become a key player for Maranatha Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-16 otherwise.
