Volleyball Recap: Jonesboro Falls to Landmark Christian in First Game of Season

Jonesboro unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Landmark Christian War Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Cardinals were not able to make up for their loss to the War Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2022.

Jonesboro started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 15-10.

The win got Landmark Christian back to even at 1-1.

Jonesboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Dutchtown on the 9th. As for Landmark Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Elite Scholars Academy on the 9th.
