Volleyball Recap: Anna Mathias and Adrianne Pethtel Secure Win for Heath

Heath had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Fredericktown on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Freddies 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Heath walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-18.

Leading Heath to victory were Adrianne Pethtel and Anna Mathias. Pethtel had 13 digs and two aces, while Mathias had 12 digs. That's the most aces Pethtel has posted over her last six contests.

Despite the loss, Fredericktown still got an impressive performance from Kallan Tilton, who had nine assists and seven digs. Arilyn Frazier also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Heath pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fredericktown, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12.

Coming up, Heath will face off against London at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fredericktown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
