Mater Dei is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Centennial. The Monarchs came out on top against the Coyotes by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Monarchs, who have now won three matches in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16.

Layli Ostovar paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up eight kills. Ostovar got some help from Kalea Lee and her 16 assists. Tiani Shaw controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Centennial, their loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

Mater Dei has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Owyhee on the 26th. As for Centennial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Valley Christian on the 26th.
