Football Game Preview: Sanger Indians vs. Gainesville Leopards + How To Watch

The Sanger Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Gainesville Leopards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sanger's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.

Sanger is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Krum just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to the Bobcats. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 14-10 in the first quarter.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Reginald Jones and Will Holland. Holland had a great game and rushed for 154 yards. Meanwhile, Jones did his best for the losing side, rushing for 140 yards.

Meanwhile, Gainesville played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 54-20 defeat at the hands of Krum. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Gainesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sanger, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Sanger against Gainesville in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-14 victory. In that contest, the Indians amassed a halftime lead of 30-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
