Volleyball Recap: Cedar Triumphs

Cedar's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dixie Flyers. The win continues a trend for the Reds in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won seven in a row.

Cedar got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-22, 30-28.

Cedar found their leader in sophomore Nathan Guzman, who had 21 digs and one assist. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Guzman.

Cedar's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Dixie, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar will host Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Panthers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Dixie, they will square off against Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
