Volleyball Recap: Pekin Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pekin got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against the Canton Little Giants by a score of 2-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Dragons as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

While Pekin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20.

Pekin's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Canton, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pekin is set to square off against their familiar foe Limestone at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Canton will take on rival Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
