Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for Olathe North

Olathe North won the last time they faced Gardner-Edgerton, and Asia Lee did her part to make sure it happened again. The Olathe North Eagles strolled past the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 57-43 thanks in part to Lee, who went 9 of 21 on her way to 30 points and three steals. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Olathe North's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

After both having extra time off, Olathe North and Washburn Rural will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Olathe North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shawnee Mission West at 5:30 p.m. on January 17, 2025.
