Baseball Game Preview: Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins vs. Great Bridge Wildcats

The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins will face off against the Great Bridge Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Henry Collegiate hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

On Saturday, Cape Henry Collegiate didn't have quite enough to beat Benedictine and fell 3-2.

Cape Henry Collegiate saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Lebel, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Lebel snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Great Bridge beat Grassfield 5-2 on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Dayton House looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Adam Bartley was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Trey Burton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Cape Henry Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Great Bridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Cape Henry Collegiate beat Great Bridge 7-3 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Cape Henry Collegiate have another victory up their sleeve, or will Great Bridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
