Volleyball Recap: Purvis Wins Going Away Against Stone + How To Watch

Purvis won the last time they faced Stone and things went their way on Thursday too. The Tornadoes blew past the Tomcats 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tornadoes.

One reason for the win was Purvis' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-6, 25-5.

Purvis can attribute much of their success to Brooxie Shepherd, who had eight aces and four assists. That's the most aces Shepherd has posted since back in August.

Shepherd wasn't the only good servers: Purvis was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stone only served two.

Purvis' record now sits at 29-5. As for Stone, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Purvis has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Presbyterian Christian on the 30th. As for Stone, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Pearl River Central on the 29th.
