Volleyball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Patton's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Patton unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Brevard Blue Devils, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since August 28th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.

Hannah Huggins paced Patton's offense, picking up six kills. Huggins got some help from Soraya Hartman and her eight assists. Finally, Huggins was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Leading Brevard to victory were Addison Worley and Leah Cabe. Worley had 18 digs and four assists, while Cabe had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Cabe a new career-high.

Patton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Brevard, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Patton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against West Caldwell on the 30th. As for Brevard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Henderson on the 30th.
