Baseball Game Preview: Selma Saints vs. Demopolis Tigers

Selma hasn't had much luck against Demopolis recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Selma will face off against Demopolis at 4:00 p.m. Selma has given up an average of 19.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Selma is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 19-6 to JAG.

Samarion Woods made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Demopolis was able to grind out a solid victory over Gordo on Tuesday, taking the game 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

The win got Demopolis back to even at 8-8. As for Selma, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Selma suffered a grim 18-3 defeat to Demopolis in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Selma avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
