Stone got themselves on the board against Gautier on Tuesday, but Gautier never followed suit. They blew past the Gators 13-0. Winning may never get old, but the Tomcats sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Mattie Gibson made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samantha Williamson, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Katelyn Boone also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Stone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stone pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gautier, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Stone will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gators: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
