After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bayside Academy, Flomaton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over the Jay Royals. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Zykenzie Martin and Antwan Bowen. Martin rushed for 109 yards and one TD while Bowen rushed for 70 yards and one score. Lance Presley got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Flomaton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Jay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Flomaton will venture away from home to challenge Monroe County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jay, they will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
