Basketball Recap: Tampa Catholic Falls Short of the Villages Charter in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tampa Catholic can now relate to. They fell to The Villages Charter Buffalo 54-50. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Zion Mcrae, who went 6-for-14 on her way to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals for The Villages Charter. Mcrae is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Eva Mann, who posted 12 points.

Tampa Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for The Villages Charter, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5.

Tampa Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for The Villages Charter, they will challenge Windermere Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Villages Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
