Flag Football Recap: Loma Linda Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 32 points the game before, Loma Linda Academy was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They were dealt a 45-13 defeat at the hands of the Patriot Warriors. The Roadrunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

A big part of Patriot's victory came down to the chemistry between Kayla Gonzalez and her top target Alana Carrillo. Gonzalez threw for 105 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.3% of her passes while Carrillo gained 40 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in passer rating (125.9).

Loma Linda Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Patriot, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Loma Linda Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-0 loss against La Sierra on the 23rd. As for Patriot, they have also already played their next contest, a 32-7 victory against Redlands Adventist Academy on the 23rd.
