Basketball Recap: Dodd City Takes a Loss

Dodd City and Newcastle squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Dodd City had to settle for second. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newcastle Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 729th, while the Bobcats are ranked 364th).

Dodd City's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Newcastle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 23-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Dodd City nor Newcastle have any future games scheduled.
