Baseball Game Preview: Jim Thorpe Olympians vs. Moravian Academy Lions

The Jim Thorpe Olympians will head out on the road to challenge the Moravian Academy Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moravian Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Jim Thorpe, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Jim Thorpe earned a 4-1 victory over Catasauqua.

Brody Schrantz was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Jim Thorpe's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Michael Antignani also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Moravian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Northern Lehigh, falling 12-0.

The win got Jim Thorpe back to even at 4-4. As for Moravian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
