League recap: Harrison scores huge upset over Sierra

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sierra, who took down 160th ranked Sierra, 13-12. Demtrius Graves ran for 124 yards and caught one passes for four yards in the win.

The Classical Academy extended the longest winning streak in 3A Southern this week by beating Pueblo East, 37-33. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Titans.

The Classical Academy's dynamic duo of Jantzen Ryals and Joey Trese proved tough for the Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Ryals threw for 395 yards and four touchdowns and Trese had 145 yards receiving. Alex Willis helped The Classical Academy's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 136 yards.

Nikko Valdez was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 35 carries, he ran for 185 yards as Pueblo Central defeated Pueblo East. Damien Ruybal also contributed to the rushing game with 101 yards on the ground.

Kyle Plamour made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats bested Pueblo County. The senior recorded one fumble.

The Titans' Ryals and Trese have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ryals has thrown for 1410 yards this season, while Trese, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 29 catches for 579 yards. Valdez from Pueblo Central leads the league in rushing with 896 yards.

A big matchup in 3A Southern this week will be when David Ramirez's team takes on the Hornets. The Eagles are in second place, while Pueblo County is in third place.

Harrison and the Stallions played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Harrison eventually emerging with a 13-12 victory. Graves in the win.
