Recap: Show Low Cougars vs. Payson Longhorns
After losing to the Payson Longhorns the last time they met, the Show Low Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Show Low walked away with a 53-43 victory over Payson on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Show Low.
Preston Power continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nash Brewer, who scored 11 points.
Show Low's win bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Payson, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.
Show Low will head out on the road to square off against Gilbert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gilbert Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 contests -- so hopefully Show Low likes a good challenge. Payson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
