Volleyball Recap: South Iredell Takes a Loss

After flying high against Community School of Davidson last Wednesday, South Iredell came back down to earth. The Vikings came up short against the Hough Huskies on Monday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost three in a row.

While South Iredell ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-19, 25-18.

South Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Hough, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Iredell will challenge rival Christ the King at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hough is set to take on their familiar foe Hopewell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Huskies' favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Titans have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
