Softball Recap: Tidewater Academy Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Tidewater Academy's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Brunswick Academy Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Tidewater Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Brunswick Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tidewater Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fuqua at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. Brunswick Academy also won't see the field for a while: their next game is against Kenston Forest at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 3, the Kavaliers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
