Softball Game Preview: Thurston Eagles vs. Garden City Cougars

Thurston hasn't had much luck against Garden City recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Garden City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Thurston, who comes in off a win.

Thurston barely beat Crestwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Chargers a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Garden City faced off against Plymouth on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5. The Cougars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Thurston now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Garden City, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
