Baseball Recap: West Port Comes Up Short

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, West Port was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 11-1 to the Madison County Cowboys.

West Port saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Soto, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

West Port has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. The win got Madison County back to even at 6-6.

West Port wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Dixie County on the 18th. As for Madison County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-5 loss against Wakulla on the 18th.
