Recap: Sequoyah Indians vs. Kiefer Trojans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sequoyah Indians can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Kiefer on Friday, falling 64-28. Sequoyah's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Kiefer can attribute much of their success to Jentry Pendergraft, who rushed for 87 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries. Another player making a difference was Alston Carr, who gained 143 total yards and a touchdown.
Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Kiefer, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Sequoyah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kiefer will take on Alva at TBD on Friday. Alva will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Kiefer is ranked 27th).
