The Hermitage Panthers will challenge the Prince George Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Hermitage is leaving town to face Prince George after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Hermitage fell just short of Highland Springs by a score of 9-8 on Monday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Meanwhile, Prince George had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Freeman as Prince George made off with a 19-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won three in a row.

Karlee Vlkojan made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Vlkojan was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Kasey Sulc was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Abbie Sars, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double.

Prince George always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freeman only posted an OBP of .346.
