Despite a strong season so far, the Montgomery Vikings have seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell just short of Maria Carrillo by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Montgomery of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-2. As for Maria Carrillo, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-5.
