Basketball Recap: Rhinebeck Comes Up Short

Rhinebeck lost against Millbrook back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rhinebeck Hawks fell 56-46 to the Millbrook Blazers. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Owen Iannucci was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-18 to rack up 27 points in addition to six boards and five assists for Millbrook. The match was Iannucci's third in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Alex Lacasse, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Rhinebeck's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Millbrook, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-7.

Coming up, Rhinebeck will head out on the road to square off against Spackenkill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Spackenkill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. Millbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
