Basketball Recap: Line Mountain Comes Up Short

If Line Mountain was riding high fresh off their 65-33 takedown of Newport last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Line Mountain Eagles fell just short of the Greenwood Wildcats by a score of 41-39 on Monday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Line Mountain dropped their record down to 6-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Greenwood, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Line Mountain will be playing at home against East Juniata at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Newport at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
