Baseball Game Preview: Sheboygan North Golden Raiders vs. Green Bay Preble Hornets

Sheboygan North hasn't had much luck against Green Bay Preble recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Golden Raiders will challenge the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

While Golden Raiders fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Friday's season opener. Their pitchers stepped up to hand North a 9-0 shutout on Friday. The Golden Raiders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 13, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Mark Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Blake Becker, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Green Bay Preble got the win against Algoma on Saturday by a conclusive 10-0.

David Petasek was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Harrison Selk was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Sheboygan North might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Green Bay Preble in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Golden Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
