Baseball Recap: Kearsley's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Owosso typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Kearsley proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Trojans 6-5. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aiden Tipton was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Kearsley's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Keegan Roesner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Kearsley's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9. As for Owosso, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-10 record this season.

Kearsley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Owosso: the pair will be back at it again later today.
