Softball Recap: Halls' Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Halls waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against Middleton as they made off with an 18-0 victory. 18 seems to be a good number for Halls as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Halls got a massive performance out of Emya Brown, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Turnbow, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.

Halls hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Halls' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Middleton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Halls will host Ripley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Middleton, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Liberty Tech Magnet at 5:00 p.m. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
