The third road contest was the charm for Apex Friendship, as they earned their first away win of the season. They came out on top against the East Chapel Hill Wildcats by a score of 54-42 on Tuesday. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Apex Friendship's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dari Pore, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 16 points in addition to six boards and five steals. That's the most rebounds Pore has posted since back in December of 2024. Kashvi Vijay also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Despite the loss, East Chapel Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alison Zaranek had 18 points along with six boards and three steals. Zaranek's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jaydee Salazar, who scored two points in addition to 16 rebounds and three steals.

Apex Friendship picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for East Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Apex Friendship will challenge Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Chapel Hill, they will take on Cedar Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
