Softball Recap: Woodland Park Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Woodland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 12-8 to the Platte Valley Broncos.

Christine Renteria was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin DiFabio, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Woodland Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Platte Valley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Woodland Park is on the road again on Saturday to play The Academy at 1:00 p.m. The Panthers' pitcher better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Platte Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wray/Yuma at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
