Newton Local barely beat Troy Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Eagles 12-4 on Saturday. Considering the Indians have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Newton Local and bumps their season record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Troy Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Newton Local will be playing in front of their home fans against Dayton Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Troy Christian, they will head out to face off against Tri-County North at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
