Softball Recap: Worthington Christian Comes Up Short

Worthington Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-6 to the Mayfield Wildcats.

Hadassah Leverette and Rebecca Cable stepped up to the plate in a big way. Leverette scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Cable scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Annah Niehoff was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Worthington Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mayfield, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Worthington Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bexley at 5:15 p.m. on the 11th. As for Mayfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against West Greene on the 27th.
