Softball Recap: Ridgedale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ridgedale can now relate to. They fell 5-0 to the Newark Catholic Green Wave on Monday. The Rockets were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior), but the Green Wave's pitcher proved too tough.

The loss snapped Ridgedale's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record. As for Newark Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season.

Ridgedale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newark Catholic, they will take on Fisher Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Irish will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
