Softball Game Preview: Webster Thomas Titans vs. Webster Schroeder Warriors

Webster Thomas is 2-8 against Webster Schroeder since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 10:00 a.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Webster Thomas comes in on 14 and Webster Schroeder on six.

Webster Thomas can't be too worried about heading out to take on Webster Schroeder: they just beat Penfield at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Titans didn't even let the Patriots on the board on Thursday, marking the Titans' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bishop Kearney a 3-0 shutout.

Webster Schroeder secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Emma Juliano, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Webster Thomas pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Webster Schroeder, their record now sits at 19-1.

Webster Thomas came up short against Webster Schroeder in their previous matchup back in April, falling 5-0. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
