Northside - Pinetown is a perfect 10-0 against Jones since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Trojans at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday, Northside - Pinetown didn't have quite enough to beat East Carteret and fell 8-7.

Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Jones ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over Lejeune. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Payten Plyler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over ten innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-6 with four RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, Makenzie Maines was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Riley Murphy was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.

Jones' record now sits at 4-5. As for Northside - Pinetown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Northside - Pinetown took their win against Jones in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
