Cusick is 8-1-1 against Republic since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. Cusick has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cusick will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Curlew, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers skirted past the Cougars 20-18. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-12-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Daniel L was excellent, getting on base in all six of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick S, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Cusick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Republic fell just short of Odessa by a score of 20-19. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Cusick's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Republic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Cusick got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Republic by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
