Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Flower Mound

After losing to Hebron the last time they met, Flower Mound decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Flower Mound Jaguars came out on top against the Hebron Hawks by a score of 60-53 on Saturday. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Hawks are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory (which was Flower Mound's fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-1. As for Hebron, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Flower Mound Jaguars face off against the Guyer Wildcats at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Guyer has won six straight at home, while Flower Mound won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Hebron, they will take on Coppell at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
